Rejoining the World of the Living

The state of things.....

Let's be honest it's been a crazy crazy time. It seems like I've spent the last couple years just sitting in my studio staring at the computer screen wishing I was playing at a club. Now don't get me wrong there's been the occasional gig here and there.  I've started to get out lately and see other people play. Oh, but I think we can all be in agreement it's been a weird couple years.

The other day I went to the bathroom mirror and stared at that old cranky guy looking back at me, and I made a decision that it was time to get back out and play some music.  It hasn't been easy, it's been a long time since I've had to go out and book a gig, but I made some phone calls and started putting some things in the books and I feel better.

Many of the clubs in town are still very hesitant about booking a big dance band and I don't blame them. But there seems to be a demand for the smaller acoustic acts,  so I'll concentrate on those for now until things return to a state of normal.

I don't know about the rest of you but it seems like I've been in a state of suspended animation. It's almost as if I forgot how to go outside and talk to people. I found that my  already short fuse has gotten even shorter. it will take a while for us to get back to the way things were and who knows, we may never be able to go back and recreate our pre-pandemic world exactly as it was. Maybe we shouldn't be recreating it exactly as it was, maybe it's time to learn from our experiences and try to create a better environment for all of us.

So thank you for stopping by the website. I appreciate your patronage. I'll make sure and post the schedule on all available sites as soon as I get it together and I hope to see you there. I'm also working on recording some tracks for those of you who don't want to venture out.

I hope you and yours are safe, healthy and happy. and here's to singing songs together real soon.

Thanks for being there,

 Jeffrey
